DAPHNE, AL – A tractor trailer overturned Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at about 12:45 p.m. on Ala. 181 in Daphne, Alabama according to police. Daphne is in Baldwin County and is about 13 miles southeast of Mobile, Alabama.
The semi truck was exiting off the Interstate 10 and turning north onto Alabama 181 when it rolled over onto its right side spilling diesel fuel near the intersection of Interstate 10.
There were no injuries reported at the time of the tractor-trailer accident, but traffic was restricted for more than two hours so Daphne city crews and firefighters could clean up the spilled diesel fuel and remove the overturned semi truck.
Police at one point also closed the access ramp to the eastbound lanes of I-10.
The semi truck accident is still under investigation at this time.
