On March 15, 2014, Atlanta’s finest doctors and lawyers will once again take to the court in a display of athletic prowess in a basketball benefit to raise awareness for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
The decisive match will be held at Decatur High School’s state-of-the-art gym on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 7-9 pm.
The Truck Accident Attorney’s own Michael Goldberg, last year’s Jawbones MVP, will be returning once again to aid in the mission to raise TBI awareness and its life-long impact. There are 5.3 million Americans currently living with disabilities caused by TBI, and yet too few people understand the life-altering changes and challenges faced by people with TBI and their families.
The Jawbones vs. Sawbones event benefits Side by Side, the only program of its kind in Georgia, which assists people with TBI in establishing quality lives after their medical treatment is over. Side by Side focuses on helping people work, live and contribute to their families and communities. Over 400 people disabled by TBI have been touched by Side by Side’s unique services, which follow the Clubhouse model of rehabilitation.
In addition to the basketball match, the benefit will also have a silent auction, raffle drawings, and a half-court shot contest with local celebrities scheduled for appearance.
Come show your support for the TBI community. We hope to see you there rooting for the Jawbones!
