Judge Adopts Rulings, Finds FEMA Properly Handled Waiver Requests

BALTIMORE – A Maryland federal judge on June 30 issued an opinion adopting the report and recommendations of a special master appointed by the court to review various decisions made by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that denied waiver requests submitted by homeowners seeking coverage for flood damage caused by a hurricane, finding that FEMA properly handled the waiver claims (Thomas L. Moffett III, et al. v. Computer Sciences Corporation, et al., No. 05-1547, D. Md.; 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 71289).
