Each Installation Of Chinese Drywall Constitutes A Separate Occurrence

NORFOLK, Va. – A Virginia federal judge on July 21 determined that each installation of defective Chinese drywall in 74 homes constitutes a separate occurrence; however, the judge refused to enter judgment in favor of the building developer because the developer failed to provide specific proof of the costs it incurred to remediate the problem (Dragas Management Corp. v. Hanover Insurance Co., et al., No. 10-547, E.D. Va.; 2011 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 80178).
