Coverage Barred For Damages Caused By Chinese Drywall, Panel Says

GRETNA, La. – An insurer does not owe coverage to its insured for losses caused by Chinese drywall because the policy’s exclusions for faulty materials, latent defect, corrosion and pollution all apply to bar coverage, the Fifth Circuit Louisiana Court of Appeal said June 14 (Terrence M. Ross, et al. v. C. Adams Construction & Design, et al., No. 10-852, La. App., 5th Cir.; 2011 La. App. LEXIS 769).
