5th Circuit Panel Affirms: FTCA Claims Against FEMA Untimely, Properly Dismissed

NEW ORLEANS – A unanimous Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel entered an opinion June 24 affirming the dismissal of a personal injury claim filed by a mother on behalf of her minor son against the Federal Emergency Management Agency and its contractors for exposure to formaldehyde in emergency housing (In re: FEMA Trailer Formaldehyde Products Liability Litigation [Alana Alexander], No. 10-30451, 5th Cir.).
