11th Circuit Upholds Decision For Ford In Explorer Rollover Accident Action

ATLANTA – The 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on July 11affirmed summary judgment for an auto manufacturer accused of building a defective sport utility vehicle that rolled over and seriously injured a young female driver, concluding that the plaintiff failed to show that the vehicle posed serious safety risks (Melanie Ivy v. Ford Motor Co., No. 10-10786, 11th Cir.; 2011 U.S. App. LEXIS 14171).
