Comments from Our Trucking Attorneys
Truck drivers are required to perform a pre-trip inspection before they begin driving their tractor-trailer. This inspection should last approximately 20 to 25 minutes. When performed correctly, the truck driver should be able to identify tires that are becoming worn and need to be replaced before the tire blows out. Unfortunately, many truck drivers cut corners because they do not have the time to perform these inspections. We have handled a number of cases involving separating tires or wheels on tractor-trailers. You can look at our case results by clicking here.
