This accident could have been far more disastrous, especially if other vehicles had been involved. According to first responders, Brent Whitlock wrecked in the same spot on Interstate 20 in which a fatal accident occurred on September 2, 2011.

Truck drivers should always maintain their lane of travel, but if they veer out of it, other drivers on the road must be able to react. Share this blog with loved ones as a reminder.

Defensive driving should be taught and practiced from a young age so that drivers can travel safely even when other vehicles on the road behave erratically. Were you taught to drive defensively? Do you think defensive driving class should be mandatory in schools?
