Police Use Tasers to Control Teen Crowd at High School Talent Show

02/27/2008 - National Legal News

Police in Pembroke Pines, Florida, used tasers on two teens after a fight involving up to 20 students broke out at a High School talent show.

Only 30 tickets were sold for the talent show at Flanagan High, but police reports confirm that between 200 and 500 people showed up to see a popular local DJ who was scheduled to appear without the knowledge of school officials.

Police were called to control a fight involving between 15 and 20 students that broke out as the large crowd of students left the show.

Reports say that two students who ran from the scene ignored an officer’s warning to stop, and they were both tasered in the back.

One student was taken to Memorial Hospital West with non-serious injuries.

Both students were arrested and later released to their parents.

Another Flanagan High student was arrested, and two more were suspended for 10 days for their involvement in the fight.
